Rentacomputer.com’s Rewards Program

December 2, 2010

Just a few short months ago, Rentacomputer.com initiated a new rewards program for frequent rental customers entitled the Frequent Reward Points program, or FRP for short.  The way it works is that you earn points for rental orders you place with Rentacomputer.com through a Tech Travel Agent. FRPs can be used on future rentals  and services from not only Rentacomputer.com but also ComputerServiceNow.com.

Tech Travel Agents from Rentacomputer.com pay you back every time you rent a piece of technology. Customers can use FRPs to save money on future rental reservations or computer services booked by a Tech Travel Agent. Each and every order you place earns you FRPs and, just like Delta Sky Miles or BP Gas Cards, FRPs can be redeemed on future expenditures with Rentacomputer.com or one of its many sister companies.

Here are a few things you should keep in mind when looking into Rentacomputer.com’s FRPs:

  • Points accumulate on every computer rental, notebook rental, plasma rental, copier rental, projector rental or any technology rental.
  • See any rental quote for the total number of points awarded for each rental. Look for the FRP box near the bottom of the quote under the pickup date.
  • Each point earned is worth $1 in discounts toward future rentals. (Sorry, FRP points can not be redeemed for cash.)
  • Tech Travel Agents keep track of your FRP points and send monthly email statements with your FRP totals.

The best way to earn points is to start renting, BUT if you want to earn 2 free points right now, then head on over to Rentacomputer.com and sign up for their FRP program.

*Disclaimers regarding the FRP Program:
1. FRPs are only earned on the cost of rentals.
2. FRPs are not earned on delivery, labor, or taxes. FRPs are not transferable.
3. FRPs may not be redeemed for cash.
4. FRPs can be applied towards rentals and service only.
5. Customer is responsible for any applicable taxes.
6. FRPs expire 18 months after being earned.
7. Expired FRPs can no longer be used towards any service or purchase.
8. FRPs may not be used in conjunction with other discounts or promotions.
9. FRPs are earned on the first survey filled out and cannot be earned again.
10. No purchase necessary.

Customer Testimonial: Tax Season Computer Rentals

July 25, 2010

Customer Testimonial: Tax Season Computer RentalsMy name is Joe Hendrix and I’m an accountant in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida.   I’ve had a small accounting firm in town for ten years and for nine of those years, I’ve been a Rentacomputer.com customer.  Let me tell you a little bit more about me and why I would recommend Rentacomputer.com to anyone who is need of computer rentals for tax season.

I was 33 when I started my own business. After working for a major national company for five years, I knew that it was time to branch out on my own and offer something the national company couldn’t: customer service.  Don’t get me wrong, my co-workers and I prepared taxes and helped our customers with a smile – most of us anyway – but because the company was so big, ultimately, everyone was just a number or more money coming into the company.  I got into accounting because I wanted to help people, not because of the money.

Starting your own business at 33, when you’ve got a wife, two young kids, and a mortgage can be pretty scary.  After I’d rented the building and hired two employees, I was basically broke.  I couldn’t afford a lot of office equipment, so my two employees shared a computer and printer, and we all did a lot of work from our homes.  We didn’t even have a copy machine.   It was a nightmare and once that first tax season was over, I swore I’d find a solution before the next year.

Someone suggested renting equipment for the office, but I had no idea you could even do such a thing.   However, I did a quick internet search for “copier rentals” and saw that you can indeed rent copiers.  Rentacomputer.com was at the top of the search, so I knew it had to be a good company.  I was absolutely right.

After one quick phone call, not only were they able to answer my questions about renting a copier, they were able to suggest other technology I could rent for my business and they were extremely friendly.  As I mentioned, customer service is very important to me.

I ended up renting a copier from Rentacomputer.com and it was delivered to my office the next day, set-up so we could use it immediately, and anytime we had a problem with it, a technician came out to fix it.   Eventually, as my business grew, I found myself using Rentacomputer.com for other needs.  My office has grown from two employees to ten employees, and even then, when tax season comes around each year, I find myself having to hire several temps.   I learned the hard way that every employee needs their own computer, so, when the temps start each year, I rent them each their own desktop from Rentacomputer.com and just like the copier, they are delivered, set-up, and we’re able to get the most current technology available.

If it weren’t for Rentacomputer.com, I’m not sure I would have been able to grow my business like I did and for that, I will be forever grateful.  That’s why I would recommend them to anyone who needed to rent any type of technology for their office.

Aside from the most important humanitarian aspect of knowing who might need assistance or might be missing, you need to know who can get back to work and assist your business as it starts its day to day operations again.

Computer Rental Pricing Information

February 22, 2010

Desktop Computer Rental PricingThe most frequently asked question in the world of computer rentals is undoubtedly “How much does it cost to rent a computer?” Well, the answer isn’t as simple as many people may think because the cost of your rental depends on 4 distinct variables: time, space, spec and availability.  Computer rental prices vary depending on the length of your rental period, where you need the rental, the specification of the rental and the availability of the rental.

With Rentacomputer.com, your computer rental rates vary depending on how long you want the rental whether it be monthly, weekly or daily. Typically, a Pentium 4 desktop computer will start at approximately $99 per week in most markets for a weekly rental. However, based upon the computer specification, availability and location, prices can be 20% to 40% higher or lower.

Delivery locations could have an impact on cost as well. Getting a delivery to a convention center is naturally going to be more expensive than delivering to a business address. Why is this you may ask? Well, business addresses normally have specific parking areas for delivery trucks as well as easy access to the delivery or installation room. Convention centers, on the other hand, requires a lot of hard work and effort from the rental company and the company receiving the equipment. Making a delivery to a convention center usually takes a lot longer for the delivery man than it would at a business.

We all know that when we go into a store to buy a computer, not all the prices are the same, they vary depending on a lot of factors. The same goes for computer rentals. Most computer rentals consist of an Intel Pentium 4 computer running Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7 or Apple Mac OSX. Standard RAM is generally 2GB with a 6GB or larger hard drive. Higher specifications than that, like a higher graphics card, cost more to rent.

One issue that comes into effect when it comes to computer rentals is the issue of supply and demand. The number of competitors in a given market area as well as total computer rental units can have a huge affect on the supply of a computer rental. The best way to get a computer rental is to have a Tech Travel Agent book your technology rental needs. That way you will have a guarantee that you will always get the equipment you need. By using a Tech Travel Agent you don’t have to rely solely on a single vendor because Tech Travel Agents can get equipment from any retailer in the United States, Canada and Europe.

If your company generally employs temporary employees, then a computer rental is perfect. Why buy a computer for somebody who isn’t going to be working for you long term? A computer rental is also perfect if your company tends to go to different trade shows or conferences. Companies that do this realize that lower costs and no maintenance are a great way to save some money.

Overall, a computer rental is a great way to get high quality computers without having to make a permanent purchase.  If you have any questions on computer rental pricing then visit Rentacomputer.com today.
